About Us

Latia Parker, MHR, LPC, LADC/MH is the founder and chief executive officer of Betty Jackson Counseling Services. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Latia earned her Associate of Arts degree in Psychology from Tulsa Junior College, her Bachelor of Science in Corrections/Criminal Justice. Following her graduation from The University of Oklahoma with her Masters in Human Relations. She has a special interest in the treatment of trauma to children and adults. 

Betty Jackson Counseling Services wants to provide therapeutic tools to effectively address personal life challenges, create healthier decision making, and encourage mental wellness. Betty Jackson Counseling Services has a treatment team dedicated to making changes throughout the community evidenced by their hard work and dedication to help individuals and families work toward fixing their unresolved problems and/or issues that cause them to lose focus while conducting their day to day lifestyles. Her goals include helping clients change their unwanted behaviors by “reframing” their problems and helping them to see alternative solutions. She employs a variety of therapeutic perspectives in her work with children, teens, adults and families.
