Betty Jackson Counseling Services provides outpatient services in a safe and loving environment to work things out. Many people who suffer from having a mental health condition often do not want to talk about it. But mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of, and it is just a medical condition that needs attention. Mental health conditions are treatable. We are continually expanding our understanding of how the human brain works, and the good thing is treatment is available to help successfully manage mental health conditions.
Mental illness does not discriminate; it can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, geography, income, social status, race, ethnicity, religion/spirituality, sexual orientation, background, or other aspects of cultural identity. Mental health is the foundation for emotions, thinking, communication, learning, resilience, hope and self-esteem. Mental health is also key to healthy relationships, personal, emotional well-being and is a key component of overall well-being. Children, teens, and adults are provided with workable solutions to their problems such as self-esteem, familial difficulties, depression, anxiety, anger addictions, trauma recovery, grief and loss, substance abuse, and stress management etc.
We accept Medicaid and Private Insurance and Fee for Service as payment for treatment services. Self-referrals are always welcome. Indigent clients can also receive referrals to other community-based treatment providers that can assist with their needs. Pro-bono cases will be taken on a case-by-case basis. BJCS’s goal is to access, treat, and work to facilitate change in return for wellness for the individual and family participating in treatment services.
